Change email id of Stycth B2B member

How do I change the email address of a Stytch B2B member? The update endpoint doesn’t seem to accept an “email_address” field in the body

It’s not currently possible to change a Member’s email address (our B2B product suite is relatively new, and we haven’t heard too much demand for this functionality yet), but that’s something we’d like to implement in the future!

In the meantime, we’d recommend deleting the existing Member and creating a new Member with the new email address.

I’ll be sure to flag your interest for our Product team as well. As some additional context for them, are you more interested in an admin flow where an organization administrator updates a Member’s email address, or a flow where the Member updates the email address themself – or both flows?

You can now change a Member’s email address via the email_address parameter in the Update Member endpoint.

One quick usage note: if a Member’s email address is changed, other Members in the same Organization cannot use the old email address, although the Member may update back to their old email address. A Member’s email address can only be used again by other Members if the original Member is deleted.
